Ora sono molto presa per mettere il testo in inglese in rete, e Giorgia è altrettanto presa dagli esami, ecc., quindi non sappiamo esattamente quando il 2° capitolo sarà pronto in italiano. Vi faremo sapere.

We're Back! Ci siamo di nuovo!
Don't know how I did it, but I did it. THE BLOG IS FIXED!! Thanks to you all for bearing with me through these days of sheer hysteria. We're up and running again, thank God.

NY Times/IHT on The Secret Surrender
Came across this the other day, relating (sort of) Inglorious Basterds to The Secret Surrender. Interesting; seems the issue of Dulles's role and relationship to SS General Wolff is still contemporary. The historical epilogue is fascinating--and there's an epilogue to the novel as well, for the historical characters and the fictional.

Ho trovato questo articolo solo l'altro giorno, che lega (in una certa maniera) il film di Tarantino, Inglorious Basterds, con La Resa Segreta. Interessante che la questione del ruolo di Dulles e il suo rapporto con il Generale Wolff della SS suscita ancora molto interesse fra i storici e gli appassionati delle tante storie della guerra. Interessante anche come epilogo storico, che comunque c'è già nel romanzo.
